The conductor,
Giovanni VERO

Graduate at the Royal Academies of Mons and Brussels, Giovanni VERO begins his professional career at the "Musique de la Gendarmerie Nationale" in Brussels where he will spend four years as sax tenor solo.

In 1987, he enters the Academy of Music of Mons (Académie de Musique de Mons) as a teacher of saxophone and clarinet. Thanks to his teaching and orchestral skills, in 1987 he will be named at the head of the Royal Philharmonic Union of Ghlin; a fifty musicians orchestra and nominated by the Art and Life Tours in the Excellence category.

Professional saxophonist, he had, amongst all, the opportunity of performing with some stars of the song and jazz: Philippe Lafontaine, Claude Barzotti, Jane Manson, but also Toots Thielemans, Mary Kay, George Mac Craey(USA), Lavelle(USA), Francoise Guerlain(France)...

His passion for the Jazz will lead him to create several vocational trainings made of different styles: The Basin'street Band, Jean's Trio, Sax a Gogo, Saxology quartet, Take Five, Birdy, The United Art Six and The New Beat's Band a famous band of jazz and varieties.

Since 1994, he is also a Master of training courses at the "Summer academy" belonging to the Provincial Service of Youth at the Province of Hainaut where is also works as director since 2001.

His traditional musical education will also lead him to combine his concerts to recitals of romantic and traditional music at the clarinet, but also at the saxophone in a repertory of original works.
